Who can sign for an organization?
 This varies with organization type. In general, a signatory must be in a leadership role.
- For media organisations: Publishers Editors-in-Chief, Editors, Directors, or Managers etc can sign on behalf of the organisation.
- For academic institutions: Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Provosts, Deans, Directors of Research, etc., can sign on behalf of the institution.
- For other organizations: CEOs, Presidents, Directors, Founders, etc., can sign on behalf of their organization
I am signing the Kigali Declaration for an organization. Why do you need my name?
Organizations require a person sign on their behalf. Their full name and title indicate their eligibility.
Why do you need my job title?
By proving your job title we can verify your eligibility to sign on behalf of your organisation and ensure thereâs no duplication.
I have signed on behalf of my organisation. What next?
Signatories have three months to review their organisational practices against the minimum standard set for their stakeholders category by the Declaration, and to submit their action plan. Based on this your application for a gold, silver or bronze status will be reviewed by the Declaration Advisory Board and awarded, requested to resubmit or rejected.
