What a success that was! The African Women in Media Conference has now enjoyed its third Annual Conference since the first one in 2017, and the event got raving reviews with a massive 95% of attendees saying it met their expectations.
Thanks to all our speakers, trainers and delegates for making AWiM19 so successful. It was our vision to spotlight the challenges in media industries in Africa, while showcasing African women working in media industries as experts in addressing these challenges. AWiM19 brought together media professionals and scholars from 16 countries and over 50 media organisations. We trended on Twitter in Kenya, with over 2,000,000 impressions over the three days.
